At our November 2014 meeting, Lee Kaphingst discussed building your own computer. One of the questions brought up the question of selecting parts that will work together.
I'm considering building a new PC to meet some specific needs, particularly capturing, editing, and rendering video podcasts to use as tutorials for my clients. That last part, rendering the video file is a CPU hog and demands special attention.
In doing some research I stumbled upon the PC Part Picker website. While I haven't used it extensively yet, it looks to be quite useful.
I should also mention Tom's Hardware. Tom's is perhaps a little better known and provides a wealth of knowledge about PC hardware.
Take a look and let us know what you think about these sites.
